LBCP Summer Interns 2021

Cassidy Hunt
Cassidy Hunt served as a Summer Intern with the Long Beach City Prosecutor’s Office in 2021. She completed her undergraduate studies at University of California, Los Angeles prior to the program. Following graduation, Cassidy worked in litigation defense with Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP for two years before beginning law school. She later enrolled at Harvard Law School, where her legal training included summer associate experience with Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP and Sidley Austin LLP.

Jessiah Jefferson
Jessiah Jefferson served as a Summer Intern with the Long Beach City Prosecutor’s Office in 2021. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from California State University, Long Beach in 2022 and a Juris Doctor from University of Southern California Gould School of Law in 2025. Jessiah’s legal experience includes work in labor and employment law, clerking with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and working with the Law Office of Tatiana Hernandez. She practices as an Associate Attorney with Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani LLP.

Kerah Hunter
Kerah Hunter served as a Summer Intern with the Long Beach City Prosecutor’s Office in 2021. She graduated with highest honors from University of California, Davis in 2024. In 2025, Kerah began a master’s program in Communication Management with an emphasis in Media and Entertainment at University of Southern California. She also serves as the Executive Assistant to the CEO of Prudential Healthcare.

Daisy Gomez
Daisy Gomez served as a Summer Intern with the Long Beach City Prosecutor’s Office in 2021. She earned her undergraduate degree from University of Southern California in 2024, majoring in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. Following graduation, Daisy began working as a Multimedia Communications Specialist with the City of Long Beach.

Erin Chim
Erin Chim served as a Summer Intern with the Long Beach City Prosecutor’s Office in 2021. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in History, completing her undergraduate degree within three years. She later pursued graduate studies through an accelerated teaching credential and master’s program at University of California, Davis.

Devin Hemmans
Devin Hemmans served as a Summer Intern with the Long Beach City Prosecutor’s Office in 2021. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from University of California, Irvine and went on to pursue doctoral studies in biophysics at University of California, San Francisco.

Daniel Schettini
Daniel Schettini served as a Summer Intern with the Long Beach City Prosecutor’s Office in 2021. Following the program, he interned with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office in the Compton Juvenile Division. Daniel earned a Bachelor of Arts and Science in Physiological Science and Political Science from University of California, Los Angeles in June 2024 and began his legal education at UCLA School of Law the same year. During law school, he worked for a federal magistrate judge in the United States District Court for the Central District of California and later gained experience with a large Los Angeles law firm focused on healthcare litigation.
William Bui
William Bui served as a Summer Intern with the Long Beach City Prosecutor’s Office in 2021. He earned a degree in Criminal Justice from California State University, Long Beach and went on to pursue a career in law enforcement as a Police Cadet with the Long Beach Police Department.
