LBCP Summer Interns 2022

Mai Vu

Mai Vu served as a Summer Intern with the Long Beach City Prosecutor’s Office in 2022. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Public Affairs with a minor in Digital Humanities in 2025. During her legal training, Mai worked as a Student Law Clerk at University of California, Los Angeles until 2025. She went on to serve as a Law Clerk with The Wonderful Company, supporting the Global Regulatory, Privacy, and Government Affairs practice groups.


Andrew Fierro

Andrew Fierro served as a Summer Intern with the Long Beach City Prosecutor’s Office in 2022. He began his undergraduate studies at California State University, Long Beach and planned to complete his degree in Spring 2025, continuing his academic development while exploring interests in law and public service.


Karis Chapple

Karis Chapple served as a Summer Intern with the Long Beach City Prosecutor’s Office in 2022. At the time of the internship, Karis studied Criminology with a minor in Psychology at Golden West College, later transferring to University of California, Irvine to major in Criminology, Law and Society with a minor in Psychology. During college, Karis participated in a dance team, a pre-law society, and the Tau Sigma Honor Society, while also working as an enrichment teacher in STEM, coding, and robotics. These experiences reflected a blend of interests in law, education, and engineering.


Alofaifo Faleono

Alofaifo Faleono served as a Summer Intern with the Long Beach City Prosecutor’s Office in 2022. He pursued undergraduate studies in Political Science at Brigham Young University, graduating in December 2024. Alofaifo co-founded Le Upega Non‑Profit Organization in 2022 and demonstrated a strong commitment to service through his involvement as a United States Army ROTC cadet and as a soldier in the Utah Army National Guard.
