LBCP Summer Interns 2019

Nazarene Anderson

Nazarene Anderson served as a Summer Intern with the Long Beach City Prosecutor’s Office in 2019. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice/Police Science from San Francisco State University in 2019 and a Juris Doctor with a focus in Intellectual Property Law from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 2022. Following law school, Nazarene joined the Long Beach City Prosecutor’s Office as a Deputy City Prosecutor, continuing her career in public service.


Jake Di Fiore

Jake Di Fiore served as a Summer Intern with the Long Beach City Prosecutor’s Office in 2019. He earned his undergraduate degree from San Diego State University in 2024 and went on to begin his professional career in commercial real estate as an Associate Investments professional with Marcus & Millichap.


Ellis Sanchez

Ellis Sanchez served as a Summer Intern with the Long Beach City Prosecutor’s Office in 2019. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Supply Chain Management from California State University, Long Beach. Following graduation, Ellis worked as a Project Manager and Estimator with Aldridge Electric, contributing to several large-scale industrial projects across California. He later advanced to an Assistant Project Manager role with SASCO.


Erin Norris

Erin Norris served as a Summer Intern with the Long Beach City Prosecutor’s Office in 2019. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Rutgers University–New Brunswick between August 2021 and May 2023. In 2024, Erin began working as a Special Services Officer with the Long Beach Police Department, continuing her career in public safety.


Cindy Parra

Cindy Parra served as a Summer Intern with the Long Beach City Prosecutor’s Office in 2019. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from San Francisco State University. Following her internship, Cindy worked with the Signal Hill Police Department, where her responsibilities included accident investigation and parking enforcement. She later joined the Tustin Police Department as a Police Services Officer.


Andrew Rendon

Andrew Rendon served as a Summer Intern with the Long Beach City Prosecutor’s Office in 2019. While attending Long Beach City College in 2020, he worked with the City of Long Beach Department of Health and Human Services in Public Health Emergency Management. Andrew later transferred to California State University, Long Beach, where he earned a degree in Accounting and participated in student government and the Law Society. After working with the Health Department for two and a half years, he completed multiple tax internships applying accounting principles and gaining exposure to tax law. He later enrolled at Loyola Law School, Los Angeles to continue his legal education.


Julissa De Haro

Julissa De Haro served as a Summer Intern with the Long Beach City Prosecutor’s Office in 2019. Following the program, she worked as a legal assistant and paralegal with a criminal defense firm while completing her undergraduate studies. Julissa earned her degree from California State University, Long Beach in 2020, majoring in Political Science with a minor in International Studies and a certificate in Legal Studies. She later began her legal education at UC Davis School of Law in August 2022.


Drew Buchanan

Drew Buchanan served as a Summer Intern with the Long Beach City Prosecutor’s Office in 2019. Drew earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in LGBTQ Studies from University of California, Santa Barbara in 2022. Following graduation, Drew worked full time with UCSB as a Health Equity Advocate, supporting equitable access to healthcare services and health information for students and staff.
